Medicare Part B Premium Change for 2012:
For Members with Medicare Parts A and B

As a Medicare member enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B, your standard premium for 2012 will be $99.90 per month.  Once LAFPP receives proof of your enrollment in Medicare Parts A and B, LAFPP will provide the Medicare Member a reimbursement of $99.90 on their monthly pension check.  LAFPP does not reimburse for any premium amount (late enrollment penalty or income adjusted premium) over the basic Medicare Part B premium.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Medicare Members are responsible for making Medicare Part B premium payments either through a deduction in their Social Security payment or by making quarterly payments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
