Upcoming Retired Fire Board Member Election The term of office for Commissioner Sam Diannitto, the current Fire Department Retired Employee Member of the Board of Fire and Police Pension Commissioners (Board), ends on June 30, 2010. Attention Retired Members - 2010 Medicare Reimbursement Delay Due to a computer programming error, approximately 5,800 members did not receive their Medicare reimbursement of $96.40 on the January 31st pension roll. 2010 Pension Payment Schedule The schedule below will assist you in determining when you can expect your pension payments in 2010. Survivor Benefit Purchase Program for Retirees - Charter Amendment D Charter Amendment D was passed by the voters of the City of Los Angeles on March 3, 2009 to allow retired members of the Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension System the option to provide a survivor benefit to a spouse married in retirement or a domestic partner declared in retirement.
