City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program

Emergency Renter Protections are still in place to support residential renters who have been impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis. Tenants facing eviction can get additional information and free legal counseling at StayHousedLA.org

Department of Aging

The LA Department of Aging provides direct services to L.A. residents and referrals to programs outside of Los Angeles. Visit their COVID-19 Updates page to get the latest updates. Below are quick links to services they provide:

As of the beginning of April 2020, seniors may also sign up for meals by calling the Department of Aging at (213) 482-7252. 

  • Free Home-Delivered Meals during the declared emergency (available within Los Angeles city and county) – Although meals are provided at no cost, donations are accepted to help sustain the program.
  • Meal service will be prioritized for seniors who are experiencing food insecurity, including financial hardship.
