Welcome to LAFPP, one of the most dynamic departments in the City of Los Angeles. As General Manager of LAFPP, I oversee this organization that is committed to servicing the members of LAFPP.  Pursuant to the California Constitution and the Charter of the City of Los Angeles, my major responsibilities are to make sure you get prompt and efficient service, that pension assets are prudently invested and that we efficiently administer your System. To accomplish these tasks, we have a staff of over 120 professional employees and over 200 consultants and advisors dealing with money management, performance measurement, financial audit, systems design and pre-retirement seminars. In addition, we are assisted by the Retirement Services section of the City Attorney’s Office assigned to pension matters for all City employees.  

I report to the nine member Board of Fire and Police Pension Commissioners. The Mayor appoints five commissioners. Four commissioners are elected; one each by active fire and active police members, and one each by retired fire & retired police members. Pension Board meetings are usually held on the first and third Thursday of each month.
