Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions is dedicated to administering the defined benefit retirement plan for all sworn (Fire, Police, and certain Port Police and Airport Police) employees of the City of Los Angeles.
In addition to our core role of managing the pension plan benefits, our services include pre-retirement and retirement counseling, and retiree health and dental subsidy program administration.
LAFPP has been serving eligible members and their beneficiaries since June 7, 1899. We continue our efforts to provide professional and prompt service to approximately 12,800 active members and 13,800 retirees and beneficiaries.

Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions is a fast-paced work environment that offers a 5/40 or 9/80 schedule, parking on site, and a college tuition reimbursement program. LAFPP has also implemented a hybrid telecommuting schedule that allows for a minimum of two (2) in-office work days per week. This hybrid schedule is subject to change.
