LAFPP is aware of a system issue causing mandatory DROP exit dates to be reflected incorrectly on MyLAFPP accounts for some members.

This issue is related to a recent system update affecting the calculation of DROP exit dates. Specifically, for those members who do not meet the 112-hour monthly active duty work requirement, DROP credits are not awarded for that month. As a result, the system is not displaying the correct updated exit date.

Please rest assured that your eligible DROP credits are completely safe and secure while our team works to resolve this display error. As always, LAFPP will notify members at least 60 days in advance of their actual DROP mandatory exit date. In the meantime, this is a helpful reminder to regularly review your logged work hours to ensure all time is recorded accurately by your employing department each pay period.

We apologize for any confusion and thank you for your patience. In the meantime, if you have any questions about your account, you may contact the DROP/Service Pensions Section at (213) 279-3100.
